Cheers!!! The Carlsberg Visitor Centre

E’ bionda, è danese e puoi fartela in pubblico quando vuoi e senza che nessuno abbia nulla da ridire a riguardo. Cheers ragazzi!!! E’ la strafamosa birra Carlsberg prodotta nell’omonimo birrificio, il più noto della capitale danese. Per un astemio è complicato scrivere di malto d’orzo e luppolo al punto tale da ubriacarsi solamente mettendo in sequenza le parole del post, ma anche il più sobrio del mondo, se è ebbro della vita, non può assolutamente perdersi una visita alla vecchia fabbrica della birra di Copenaghen. Il birrificio fu fondato da Jacob Jacobsen, un imprenditore e filantropo danese nella seconda metà dell’Ottocento e si raggiunge prendendo l’autobus numero 18 oppure l’autobus numero 26 che fermano a circa 5 minuti di cammino dall’ingresso dove il selfie di rito sotto i 4 grossi elefanti in granito che provengono dall’isola di Bornholm e che danno il benvenuto ai visitatori è un must irrinunciabile. Se son rose fioriranno ma, soprattutto, se son birre finiranno perché poco dopo la biglietteria, il bar del Visit Carlsberg Center offre il primo dei due assaggi della “bionda” inclusi nel prezzo del biglietto. In modalità Homer Simpson, “two beer or not two beer”, giusto il tempo di fare un pò di gossip perchè Carl era il figlio di Jacob e “berg” vuol dire collina, proprio quella fuori le mura della città dove Jacob aprì il primo stabilimento, che seguendo una linea tratteggiata a forma di luppolo si parte alla scoperta della fabbrica con la Old Brewhouse, il vecchio negozio di grano dove alcuni figuranti vestiti con i costumi d’epoca simulano alcune scene di produzione della birra girando dei mestoli in delle ampie vasche e lo sculpture Garden, un’area verde che ospita una riproduzione abbastanza alternativa della Sirenetta. E poi le stalle con i cavalli, lo Jacobsen Brewhouse & bar per sentire l’aroma e l’essenza delle varie birre e la Bottle Collection, una stanza che ospita una collezione di circa 20.000 bottiglie di birra mai stappate e di ogni grandezza, colore e marca. Il tour prosegue nel Beer Garden dove, della serie finché c’è birra c’è speranza, è possibile accompagnare il secondo assaggio della bionda offerto dalla casa con hamburger ed altri piatti preparati al momento. Ultimo step il brand shop, ed  è subito souvenir mania con tazze, cuscini, magneti, grembiuli e chiaramente lattine di birra da portare a casa, perché se va bene bene, ma se va male…bere!!!

So, in the Homer Simpson mood, “two beer or not two beer”, you have just the time to have some gossip and to understand that Carl was the son of Jacob and “berg” means hill, the one out the walls of the city where Jacob founded the fist factory, that following a line with a shape of hop it begins the discovery of the factory with the Old Brewhouse, the old grain store where some actors dressed in period costumes mimic scenes of the production of beer turning a ladle into large tanks and the sculpture garden, a green zone with an alternative reproduction of the Little Mermaid. And then the stables with the horses, the Jacobsen Brewhouse & bars to feel the aroma and the essence of the various beers and the Bottle Collection, a room with a collection of about 20,000 bottles of beer never open and in all sizes, colors and brands. The tour continues into the Beer Garden where, until there is beer there is hope, you can accompany the second tasting of the blonde of the house with burgers and other fresh dishes. The brand shop is the last step and it is immediately souvenir mania with cups, pillows, magnets, aprons and clearly cans of beer to take home, because if it goes well, well but if it goes wrong… drink !!!
